Campus paper says it is under investigation

The Stanford Review, a conservative campus newspaper, reports that it is under investigation after its staff distributed the paper door-to-door in Stanford dormatories, in violation of campus policy. The newspaper is trying to change the policy and decided civil disobedience was the way to go. Now an investigator will interview witnesses and possibly schedule a hearing, according to the story by News Editor Ryan Tracey in the Review’s Feb. 6 edition. In addition, Tracey reports that the University’s General Counsel has begun to examine the legality of the policy banning door-to-door distribution in the dorms. [UPDATE: Student Press Law Center is also covering the controversy with this story today (Feb. 9).]
