Marin IJ stonewalled on county salary data

The Marin Independent Journal has discovered that Marin County has a new policy prohibiting the release of salaries of individual county government employees. According to the IJ story by Keri Brenner, another supervisor is crying foul along with a local taxpayer group, which warns of “secret pay hikes and bonuses” if the salary information isn’t available to the public.
