The blog syndication business is crowded, with dozens of companies promising to distribute the content of bloggers to the masses in return for the blogger adding a logo to his or her web site that promotes the syndicator. (Yes, that’s what those little logos on the bottom right of this page are about). BlogBurst has a different twist to the syndication game — it selects blogs and delivers their content to the web sites of major newspapers. “I like to call it the AP newswire for blogs,” said Dave Panos, the CEO of BlogBurst parent Pluck, according to an article by Stephen Bryant of the USC Anneberg School’s Online Journalism Review. Four major newspapers including the SF Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and Washington Post have signed up with BlogBurst and are testing the service. Visit the Pluck web site for more information.
