Chron makes changes in food coverage

Chron reporter Stacy Finz, who has been the paper’s lead reporter on the Scott Peterson and Cary Stayner cases, is now on the food beat — or, as an editor’s note put it, she “has turned her reporting skills to her love of food.” Chron restaurant critic Michael Bauer plans to start a blog on May 1. The paper has also hired a second restaurant critic, Bill Addison, who comes from Atlanta, where he was a restaurant critic and food editor of Creative Loafing, an alternative weekly. In addition, the Chron has sent writer Olivia Wu to Shanghai for the next six months to write about food and culture in China.
