Bill Coblentz, a member of McClatchy Co.’s board of directors, will discuss McClatchy’s purchase of Knight Ridder on Wednesday (July 12) at 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at 312 Sutter (at Grant), Suite 500, San Francisco. He will be the guest of the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association, which is located at that address. Coblentz has been a director of McClatchy since March 1979. He is a senior partner in the San Francisco law firm of Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass. He was a board member of Pacific Bell from 1976 to 1992.
