Dean Singleton’s MediaNews is looking at the possibility of creating a single Web site for news in the Bay Area, according to this story by Barbara Grady of the Oakland Tribune. With the acquisition of the Mercury News and Contra Costa Times, MediaNews now has stories from several local newsrooms. “We’ll utilize all this content to put out a more robust online product,” said Jody Lodovic, MediaNews president. “One of the opportunities is that we have so much content. If we can find a better way to leverage that content and repurpose that content for other media, all the better.”
