David Sifry of the San Francisco blog-tracking company Technorati is out with new figures on the growth of the blogosphere, or the world of weblogs. He points out that:
- • The Blogosphere is 100 times bigger than it was three years ago.
• It doubles in size every 200 days, or about once every six and a half months.
• About 175,000 new weblogs were created each day. On average, more than two blogs are created each second of each day.
• Total posting volume of the blogosphere has increased to 1.6 million postings per day, or 18.6 posts per second.
