Josh Wolf, the freelance photographer who was jailed because he refused to turn over a videotape of a protest to authorities, says he’s holding up well after a week of confinement, according to an interview he gave CNET. “The food is edible, which is a great relief seeing as I’m someone who’s a little finicky about food … everyone has been respectful to me and quite friendly and outgoing.” He said the federal government may want his tape because they’re trying to catalogue everyone who identifies themselve as an anarchist. “Today’s communist is the anarchist,” Wolf says. He said his incarceration is an attempt by the government to erode the protections journalists now have under the law.
