For those trying to stop delivery of the Examiner, here’s an e-mail to the Poynter journalism site that might be helpful. The Examiner, owned by conservative billionaire Phil Anschutz, publishes editions in San Francisco, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. They’re all delivered the same way — drivers throw them on to the lawns and doorsteps of potential readers. The e-mail is in response to a story in the Baltimore alt-weekly City Paper about how residents are going to extremes to try and halt delivery, including putting signs up in front of their homes (see above).
