Frank Viviano, who served as the Paris-based chief European and Middle Eastern correspondent for the Chronicle from 1991 to 2002, has begun writing a column for the CBS5 web site. He plans to write at least two columns a month for CBS5. They can be found at cbs5.com/worldview. After leaving the Chron, Viviano began writing for National Geographic Magazine. He is now a resident of Italy. His first column for CBS5.com examines the economic boom in China.
