While Channel 2 has lost the Giants, it has hired one of the Bay Area’s most popular television hosts. Malou Nubla will return to TV at 6 p.m. Sunday with a new show titled “Malou Review.” The premier features a “mini-review” of the Golden State Warriors. In addition, Malou takes a look at men’s fall fashions, boutique sunglasses and a couple of Bay Area “sweet treats” spots.

Nubla was at KRON 4 for six years and with KPIX 5 for another six years. At Channel 5 she hosted “Evening Magazine,” which became “Eye on the Bay” in September 2005. (In this Chronicle podcast she explains why she left Channel 5 in March 2006.) She has since launched her own production company.

“I’m super excited and have been working on this for the past year,” Malou tells Chuck Barney of the Contra Costa Times. “I’m executive producing, writing, directing and hosting with a production crew I’ve hired.”
