Lorry Lokey, who was editor of the Stanford Daily in 1949, removed a ceremonial pile of dirt at the site of the student newspaper’s new building at Panama Mall and Duena Street. Lokey, who sold his Business Wire company to Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway in 2005, donated $2 million for the $3.75 million project.
