Two months after new owners flipped KNGY-FM Energy 92.7’s format and fired the station’s staff, program director Don Parker has been hired by Clear Channel, Radio Online reports. He’s been named operations manager of CC’s San Francisco cluster of seven stations including Star 101.3, 98.1 Kiss, KKGN-AM Green 960, 103.7 The Band, KMEL, KNEW-AM 910 and Wild 94.9. Parker’s old station, now known as The Rev 92.7, is competing directly against Wild 94.9 in the battle of CHR formats.
