Remembering newspaper columnist Bruce Bellingham

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of newspaper columnist Bruce Bellingham on May 8 after a long illness.
His work appeared in the San Francisco Examiner, the Irish Times, the Nob Hill Gazette, the Marin Independent Journal, and FRISKO and SOMA magazines. He wrote stories and documentaries with legendary broadcaster Al Hart for KCBS radio and also worked with public radio host Sedge Thomson on his weekly variety program “West Coast Weekend,” where he once famously provided the sound effects for an interview with a scuba diver by blowing bubbles through a soda straw.
