SF Press Club Recognizes Pam Moore with Lifetime Achievement Award

Moore anchored KRON4 News for more than three decades

SAN FRANCISCO – November 27, 2023 – The San Francisco Press Club announced it is awarding Pam Moore its Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming 46th awards gala on Dec. 13. Pam signed off KRON4 News on June 29 after anchoring for the channel since March 1991.    

“It has been a joy to work within the Bay Area journalism community,” said Pam. “The  SF Press Club recognition is a total surprise and is accepted with so much appreciation. I am very proud and humbled.”

KRON4’s Ken Wayne will introduce Pam with a retrospective of her career that has included interviews with the late Georgia Congressman John Lewis, then-Senator Kamala Harris, and the founder of Black Lives Matter, Alicia Garza. Pam has won many awards during her stellar career, including a Peabody Award for her work on the five-part series “About Race.” She has been inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Silver Circle and honored for her career achievements by the Society of Professional Journalism, Northern California.

The awards gala takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at The Elks Lodge #3 at 450 Post Street in San Francisco. Cocktail service begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and awards commencing at 6:30 p.m. CNBC’s Deirdre Bosa of TechCheck and KPIX’s Ryan Yamamoto will emcee. The New York Times’ SF Bureau Chief Heather Knight will take part in a special Q&A about the biggest issues in the media.
