SF Press Club Names SF Examiner’s Jessica Wolfrom to Board of Directors

San Francisco – April, 2, 2024 – The San Francisco Press Club today announced that Jessica Wolfrom, the deputy managing editor of The San Francisco Examiner, has joined its board of directors by unanimous vote.  Previously, Jessica covered the intersection of food, farming, and climate.

“We are so impressed with Jessica’s depth,” said Curtis Sparrer, the president of the SF Press Club and principal of Bospar PR.  “She not only writes about the environment but also spans food, wine, politics, public health, business, and real estate.  A true Renaissance Woman!”

“As deputy managing editor of The San Francisco Examiner, a big part of my job is to foster and develop young reporters inside our small but gritty newsroom,” said Jessica.  “I love being in the weeds with my team, hunting down original stories, refining angles, or sniffing out scoops.

“As a native San Franciscan who got my start at The San Francisco Bay Guardian before moving on to The Washington Post and The Examiner, I feel a great deal of responsibility to give back to the community that took a chance on me — especially as our profession changes and evolves,” Jessica said.  “That’s why I am beyond excited about the opportunity to join the board of the San Francisco Press Club: to help continue the vital work of being a gathering place for local journalists, an incubator of talent and ideas, and an accelerator of journalistic ethics and values within this diverse and dynamic Bay Area community.”
