SF Press Club Names CNBC’s Deirdre Bosa to its Board of Directors

San Francisco—April 25, 2024—The San Francisco Press Club today announced that Deirdre Bosa has joined its board of directors by unanimous vote. Deirdre Bosa is the anchor of CNBC’s tech-focused franchise “TechCheck,” based out of the network’s San Francisco Bureau.

Bosa joined CNBC in 2012 covering the markets and economies of London and Singapore, co-anchoring morning programs including “Squawk Box Asia,” “Squawk Box Europe,” and “Worldwide Exchange.”

Prior to CNBC, Bosa was an anchor and reporter for CCTV News International based in Beijing.

“In today’s media landscape, reliable journalism is our best defense against the tide of misinformation, ensuring public discourse remains informed and honest,” said Bosa.

“Generative AI will herald yet a new era for journalism, with risks and rewards. I’m eager to navigate the emerging landscape with the Press Club’s mission to foster excellence.”

“Deirdre WOWED us when she anchored our 2023 awards program,” said Curtis Sparer, the president of the SF Press Club and principal of Bospar PR.  “After watching Deirdre’s long-form reports, I came away impressed by her analysis and understanding of the Bay Area’s tech scene.  We’re looking forward to what we can do next!”
