CONTEST

Curtis Sparrer reported that 407 entries were submitted. Contest winners will receive certificates. We will not be making any advance announcment of the winners, but we will alert the media outlets that somebody from their company won. 

The lifetime achivement winner will receive a plaque or trophy. The Board will make that selection.

AWARDS BANQUET

Curtis Sparrer will look into booking the Hilton Hotel in Burlingame for Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5:30-10 p.m. The Board requested that Curtis negotiate the cost, but it should not exceed a total cost of $11,000. 

The cost for attendes will be $55 inadvance and $100 at the door. 

As for the program, it includes a 5:30 p.m. cocktail hour, a dinner, two free drinks, and free parking.

Following the cocktail hour, dinner will be served a 6:30 p.m. that includes our keynote speaker former San Francisco columnist Phil Matier. 

The awards program will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Board hopes to attract between 125-200 attendees.

At our last meeting Dave Price agreed to create a news release on our event that will be sent out to local journalists on our mailing list once a contract with the Hilton has been finalized. The information will also be posted on our website and sent to Board members for posting on their social media. 

But, the challenge is meeting our attendence goal with only one month to do the outreach, so let’s start talking it up with our colleagues and families.
