SF Press Club Names Anita Ramaswamy to Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO – April 28, 2025 – The San Francisco Press Club today announced the appointment of Anita Ramaswamy, financial analysis columnist at The Information to its board of directors.

“Anita brings a wealth of experience to the board, with a career spanning financial journalism, podcasting and broadcast media,” said Curtis Sparrer, president of the San Francisco Press Club. “Anita’s diverse background gives her a distinctive vantage point into the evolving world of journalism.”

In her current role at The Information, Ramaswamy offers in-depth analysis of technology companies through the lens of corporate finance, drawing on her background in investment banking.

“It’s more crucial than ever to support a vibrant journalistic ecosystem, particularly amid growing threats to free speech globally,” said Ramaswamy. “Since moving to San Francisco from New York City, I’ve been inspired by the talented media professionals shining a light on this region’s unique human stories. I’m honored to help strengthen that community as an SF Press Club board member.”

Before joining The Information, Ramaswamy co-founded the award-nominated “Chain Reaction” podcast at TechCrunch, which explores developments in the crypto industry. She is also a regular contributor to American Public Media’s “Marketplace Tech.”

As a board member, she aims to support fellow and aspiring journalists by sharing insights from her experience across multiple media formats and sectors.
