SAN FRANCISCO – Oct. 30, 2025 – The San Francisco Press Club announced today that Uber has joined as an editorial-level sponsor for the organization’s 48th Annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards.

The awards gala will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in downtown San Francisco, where more than 300 journalists, media professionals and industry leaders will gather to celebrate excellence in Bay Area journalism. The event will include cocktail service beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and awards at 6:30 p.m.

“As a company defined by movement and innovation, we recognize that local journalism is critical to keeping the Bay Area connected and accountable, ” said Ramona Prieto, Uber’s head of public policy for California. “We’re honored to celebrate those who work tirelessly to share the stories that move our communities forward.”
