Oakland Tribune writer Dave Del Grande reports that John Shrader, who left KNBR two years ago, is busy these days teaching journalism at San Jose State and San Jose Community College, hosting the between-periods segments on Sharks telecasts, serving as the television voice of the Earthquakes and filling in part-time at KCBS. Shrader also has done a documentaryon Barry Bonds, which he filmed and edited to complete his work toward getting a master’s degree in mass communications at San Jose State.

Coming up with a title for documentary was a challenge, he said, because “almost everyone I interviewed was totally conflicted about Bonds.”

Fittingly, he chose: “Conflicted: The Barry Bonds Home Run Chase.”
