A follow up to our item Monday that said the Chronicle’s Phil Matier (right) was leaving KRON 4 and joining KPIX CBS 5. Today, CBS 5 put out a press release saying Matier “will chat live with anchors Sydnie Kohara and John Kessler just after 6:30 a.m. … discussing local issues, national politics, watercooler items and more.” Now that former Mayor Willie Brown (left) is no longer a morning radio host, he will have time to appear with Matier on these segments like he did when Matier was at KRON.
