Mayor Gavin Newsom, who called KGO-TV reporter Dan Noyes a “jerk” on camera in April, is complaining about the reporter again, telling the SF Examiner: “Any objective observer will agree that this particular reporter has hardly been acting appropriately.” Newsom is objecting to a request Noyes made for documents that would show whether the city is prepared for a disaster. Noyes and producer Beth Rimbey have filed a complaint against Newsom’s Office of Communications and Office of Emergency Services, claiming the two departments are withholding the documents in violation of open records laws.
