In December, the Chronicle said it was considering outsourcing its printing. Now it has been announced that the Chronicle is going to outsource part of its distribution to the same company that distributes the New York Times beyond the NY metro area. The company, Publishers Circulation Fulfillment or PCM, has recently added the Wall Street Journal to its list of clients. Other PCM clients include the LA Daily News and the Mercury News.
