The man the SF Chronicle incorrectly identified in a photo as a violent SFPD officer has been identified — and he’s speaking out. According to a story by Brigid Gaffikin of the Bay City News Service, Jack Neeley, Jr., 42, a cabbie and security guard, says the photo in Sunday’s Chron has turned his life upside down and he’s thinking about suing the Chron. Neeley said one co-worker saw the photo and thought he was an undercover cop. On Monday night, Neeley said one cab customer confronted him. “She looked at me and said, ‘It’s you!,'” adding that while the woman was no threat, her comment “made me jump to the side of the driver’s seat.” Neeley (above) is shown at a news conference yesterday in a photo by Brant Ward of the Chronicle.
