The Society of Professional Journalists’ Freedom of Information Committee is hosting a mixer Feb. 8 with Becky O’Malley, co-owner of the Berkeley Daily Planet, which is suing to obtain sealed court records in a civil suit over working conditions at Wal-Mart. The mixer will take place at the Triple Rock Brewery, 1920 Shattuck Ave. and Berkeley Way in Berkeley starting at 6:30. The event is free, though you have to buy your own drinks.
