Deadline for high school contest

Saturday is the deadline to enter the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club’s high school journalism contest. Here’s a link to the entry form. As the form explains, entries can be submitted online. Categories include best news story, feature story, sports story, editorial, news photo, sports photo, layout and design, website design and website content. Press Club’s award banquet tonight (May 21)

The Crowne Plaza Hotel The Press Club will present awards tonight in its annual Greater Bay Area Excellence in Journalism contest. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1221 Chess Drive, Foster City. 33% increase in journalism contest entries

The number of entries in the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club’s annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Contest jumped by 33% this year. Entries submitted in the club’s high school contest are up by 40%. The figures were revealed by Press Club executive director Darryl Compton at the club’s board meeting Wednesday. Contest deadline extended until Friday

The Press Club has extended the deadline for the submission of entries to its contest until Friday, March 4. The good news is that Press Club received more than 500 entries through Monday’s deadline — an increase from the 394 submitted last year.
