San Francisco Press Club board member Alexis Terrazas was honored on November 14 by the Society of Professional Journalists of Northern California for his in-depth reporting and support for journalism students. Terrazas received the Silver Heart Award as part of the organization’s annual journalism awards program. The event was held in San Franciscoand gathered more than 200 journalists from all media. The San Francisco Peninsula Press Club has changed its name to the San Francisco Press Club. This rebranding comes as the press club’s board has added new members with some fresh perspectives. These changes are occurring as the club is entering its 40th year. Within days we will begin accepting entries for our annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Contest.
