2018 Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards Contest deadline EXTENDED!

The San Francisco Press Club’s 2018 Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards Contest deadline has been extended to THIS FRIDAY! The contest honors the outstanding work of Bay Area print, TV, radio and digital media journalists, graphic designers and photographers, as well as the work of documentary filmmakers.   Entries must have been published, posted or broadcasted from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017. All entries will be judged by media professionals from press clubs across the United States. The contest deadline for entries is 9 p.m. on Friday, September 21.

SF Press Club Partners With JEANC On High School Journalism Contest – Deadline April 15

Attention High School students, The San Francisco Press Club is partnering with JEANC (Journalism Education Association Northern California) to hold a High School Journalism Contest this year. The deadline for entries is April 15, 2018. General information about the contest can be found here on the JEANC website. Contest categories include Digital Media (formerly Online), News publications, Video/Broadcast, and Yearbook. You must register your school to be a member of JEANC to enter the contest. The San Francisco Peninsula Press Club has changed its name to the San Francisco Press Club. This rebranding comes as the press club’s board has added new members with some fresh perspectives. These changes are occurring as the club is entering its 40th year. Within days we will begin accepting entries for our annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Contest.
