FM stations swap frequencies

At 5 p.m. Friday, Clear Channel moved alternative-rock Channel 104.9 to 92.3 FM. KSJO 92.3 had been airing the syndicated La Preciosa format of Mexican oldies. Apparently CC plans to put La Preciosa on 104.9, but at the moment there’s just a tape-loop announcement telling Channel 104.9 listeners to switch to 92.3. Station drops Spanish, returns to alt-rock

Clear Channel’s KCNL 104.9 has dropped the Spanish format it adopted 13 months ago and will return to playing alternative music, the radio Web site AllAccess.com reports. The station’s Spanish programning was pulled at 3 p.m. Monday and the new format is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. today (Feb. 27). In between, station has been airing sounds of construction noises.
