KGO-AM/KSFO moves in with KNBR, KFOG, etc.

The new KGO-AM newsroom at 55 Hawthorne St. KGO 810 and sister station KSFO 560 have completed their move from the ABC Broadcast Center at 900 Front St. to Cumulus Media’s studios at 55 Hawthorne St. in the South of Market area. Then on Tuesday, he was scheduled to talk to Mickey Luckoff, who had resigned a day earlier after 35 years as general manager of KGO-AM in a dispute with the station’s owner, Citadel Broadcasting. Owens said he felt “woozy.” He then turned the program over to host John Rothmann. Rothmann, subbing for Owens today, announced at the top of the show that “Ron is in the hospital for some tests. They think it’s a prescription imbalance.” Rothmann said Owens is expected to return Thursday. The medical episode happened on Monday,
