Valleywag editor jumps to NBC online

Owen Thomas (left), who has been digging up gossip in Silicon Valley for the past couple of years for Valleywag.com, is jumping to NBC to apparently work on a Web site it is building for the Valley, TechCrunch reports. The end of Valleywag as we know it

The tawdry tech gossip site Valleywag.com will become a column on Gawker.com and its racy items about techies doing bad things will be broadened to attract a national audience. Valleywag cuts 60% of its staff

The snarky tech gossip blog Valleywag has posted a scoop about itself — it is laying off 60 percent of its staff. Gone are associate editors Nicholas Carlson and Jackson West and reporter Melissa Gira Grant. Valleywag fires writer who balked at pay cut

TechCrunch blogger Michael Arrington reports that John Golson was fired from Valleywag, the Silicon Valley gossip Web site, after he posted an item criticizing his boss for cutting his pay.
